i popped into town this morning to buy an anniversary card for mrs cofty.
it is market day on a saturday and it's tourist season so the town was very busy.

I believe if they got rid of disfellowshipping the numbers would increase.
Most folks that get disfellowship never learn the truth about the truth, so
in their mind it's the truth. If I was never shunned I would be a JW today.
The harsh treament cause many to reexamine their belief.You have a lot of
time on your hand and that is dangerous for the organization.

it seems like there has not been as much discussion here about the rc testimony on day 6 (4th august) as there has been about previous days.
i was quite surprised by rodney spinks' testimony, which was a marked contrast to the bungling and inarticulate testimony of the elders that appeared before him.
spinks seemed reasonably co-operative, and a lot more willing to concede points than anyone else has been.
What a complicated religion. If the elders have no idea on the latest doctrines
you feel sorry for the RF. Contact the brach office so we can get the correct
understanding from the scriptures, but every JW is an authority on the Bible.
